Common questions
Which processes are worth automating?
High volume, well-defined, and stable. If a process runs twice a month, or changes every quarter, or requires judgement nobody can articulate, automating it costs more than it saves. We map the candidates and their frequency first, and we will tell you when the honest answer is to fix the process rather than automate it.
Will this replace people's jobs?
In practice it usually removes the worst parts of them - rekeying, chasing approvals, assembling the same report every week. Being straight about it: automation does change what a role involves, and the projects that go badly are the ones where the people doing the work first hear about it at launch. Involve them early; they also know the edge cases nobody documented.
What happens when the automation fails?
It will, usually because an upstream system changed without warning. Everything we build has explicit failure handling: retries with backoff, a dead-letter path so nothing is silently lost, alerting to a human, and a manual override. A silent failure is worse than an obvious one, because the work stops without anyone noticing.
Do we need AI for this?
Often not, and we will say so. Deterministic integration is cheaper, faster and easier to debug, and it does the majority of the work. AI earns its place where the input is genuinely unstructured - documents, free-form email, messy classification - and even then the surrounding workflow should be deterministic.
