Common questions

What should an MVP actually include?

One complete flow that a real user can finish, and nothing else. The test is whether someone can get the value the product promises end to end - not whether every screen exists. Settings, admin panels and edge cases are where MVP budgets quietly disappear, and almost none of them affect whether the idea works.

How long, and how much?

Three to four months for a focused first release is realistic, and shorter promises usually mean either an unusually narrow scope or a lot left unsaid. Cost tracks the integration count more than the screen count: payments, identity and third-party data each add more than a page of interface does.

Will we have to rebuild it once we get traction?

Not if it is built properly, and this is where cheap MVPs cost the most. We use the same architecture we would for a production system - real database design, sensible boundaries, deployment automation - because rewriting under growth pressure is far more expensive than building it correctly the first time. What we cut for an MVP is scope, never engineering quality.

Can we take it in-house after launch?

Yes, and it is a reasonable plan. You own everything, and we write the handover documentation on the assumption that another team will pick it up. If you hire engineers, we will onboard them rather than treat it as lost revenue.
